ACNC connects to CNC machines over RS232 or RS485, finds the communication settings by itself and reads the existing controller state. Read-only by default, in the browser or on an Android phone.

What ACNC does
The public demo reads and decodes what the controller already exposes. Advanced reconstruction is part of ACNC Next.
Auto communication discovery
Tests baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits and flow control by listening only, ranks the candidates and saves the result as an Initiation Map.
Controller State Reader
Raw RX from the first byte, modem lines, a passive Modbus RTU monitor and a read-only master (FC01–FC04). Every value shows its source and confidence.
USB serial adapters
PL2303 (e.g. LogiLink UA0042A), FTDI, CH340/CH341, CP210x and CDC ACM — via Web Serial on the computer or USB-OTG on Android.
Diagnostics
Step-by-step connection tests, fault trees and FMEA that separate USB problems from wrong line settings and controller states such as alarms.
Machine profiles
Milling, VMC and lathe with configurable axes, spindles and subsystems. The profile drives the screens and every export.
Sessions & exports
Session logs, captures, read-only sessions and discovery reports as JSON/CSV — for your own records or for support.
Safe by design
ACNC is meant for machines in production. The rules are enforced in the software core, not only by hiding buttons.
- Read-only by default; nothing is ever written to a machine automatically.
- No parameter writes, alarm reset, I/O forcing, PLC, drive or motion commands in READ ONLY mode.
- No fake data: unknown values stay UNKNOWN, nothing is simulated.
- Only documented read requests are ever sent — no guessing, no brute force.
- Machine data stays on your device unless you export or send it.
- Works while the controller is in ALARM — alarms are shown, never bypassed.
How to try it
The demo opens with a short privacy notice. Without hardware you can explore every screen in preview mode.
Computer
Chrome or Edge on Windows, macOS or Linux. Open the demo, choose “Browser Web Serial” and connect your USB serial adapter.
Android phone
Install the ACNC app, plug the adapter into the phone with a USB-OTG cable and choose “Android Native”. Works offline.
Auto discover
Leave “Connection setup” on AUTO DISCOVER and press Connect. ACNC finds and ranks the line settings and opens the State Reader.
